Annual Precinct Meetings Saturday, Feb 27 - Friday, Mar 12 Precinct meetings for 2010 are being now being scheduled. This is another critically important election year. We will be navigating the waters towards defeating Senator Burr and holding majorities in both State legislative chambers in order to influence redistricting conversations in 2011. Our local elections need our close attention as we elect leaders in our community in various capacities. Organizing and energizing our precincts is the first step toward a successful election year. Get involved today! Your precinct chair or a precinct organizer will be announcing meeting dates. Dates are being posted on our website www.forsythdemocrats.org. as they become available. Four Northwest Ward precincts — 905-Bethabara Moravian, 907-St. Anne’s, 908-Old Town Baptist and 909-Old Town Recreation Center — will meet Wednesday, March 10, at 7 p.m. at the Reynolda Road Library on Fairchild Drive. Democratic activist and WFU professor Peter Siavelis will review the GOP strategies regarding the proposed health care plan and the November elections. Individual precincts will hold their annual meetings following his presentation, and all Northwest Ward Democrats are welcome. Parking is available around the library and across the street in the Reynolda Manor parking lot.
Precincts 802, 804, 805, and 809 will have their annual organizational meeting on March 11th at Beef O'Brady's at Sherwood Plaza. Meeting will begin at 6:30PM. Come early if you plan to eat before the meeting. Contact Mary Dickinson at 659-2464
Precincts of the East Ward will meet on March 12, 2010 6:00 pm, 2nd floor of the Winston-Mutual Building . Those included are 082,401,402,403,404, and 502.
Precinct 302/Hanes-Lowrance will meet 5:30pm Friday March 12th, 2010 at Lowrance middle school.
Precinct 906/Mt Tabor will meet on Wednesday March 17th at 6:30 PM in the media center in Mt. Tabor high school. For more information, call FCDP at 724-5941.
