Billy Kennedy Launches Campaign for Congress

Billy Kennedy, a Watauga County talk radio host and community leader, will formally announce his candidacy on Monday, February 8 for the U.S. House of Representatives, 5th District of North Carolina. The "Billy Kennedy Caravan" will stretch from Boone to Raleigh that day, with stops in Wilkesboro and Winston-Salem.
We here at the Forsyth County Democratic Party office are excited to welcome Billy Kennedy to our headquarters to kick off his campaign to "de-throne" Virginia Foxx. PLEASE come to 1128 Burke Street on Monday February 8th at 12:30 PM and show Billy that we welcome and support is effort and of course to hear what he has to say!

Jerry Herron to file as a Democratic Candidate for Sheriff
Forsyth County Board of Elections in the Forsyth County Government Plaza on Chestnut Street on Monday, February 8th, at 12 noon
Also on Monday, February 8th, 2010, Jerry Herron will officially file as a Democratic Candidate for Sheriff of Forsyth County. Filing will take place at the Forsyth County Board of Elections at 12 noon. The Forsyth Board of Elections is located in the Forsyth County Government Plaza on Chestnut Street.
The Committee to Elect Herron for Sheriff will meet at the Board of Elections at 11:30 am in the lobby of the Government Plaza. Please join Jerry on this very special day.
Both of these events are the beginning of what looks like a very exciting election season. Please show your support to both of these fine candidates as they step up to serve the citizens of the 5th District and all of Forsyth County.
